If you enjoy a classic spy thriller, with a hapless hero lead a merry chase by an exotic spy through the streets and sights of Paris, something like an updated version of “Charade” with Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn, you’ll love this book.

Into the Lion's Den
A splendid page-turner novel that takes you from the streets of Paris to the flowers of Givenchy in search of a letter that hold clues to a lost Toulouse Lautrec painting and ultimately leads to a tense confrontation with ISIS terrorist in the Kalash Valley of Pakistan. The marvelous description makes you feel like you are there at the palace of Versailles and Moulin Rouge, while plot twists and turns keep you thoroughly engaged in the intrigue of the deepening mystery and dangers encountered in the mountainous Hindu Kush.
A great read. Highly recommended.

Antony Fawcus displays a great love for words. Writing in a broad range of forms--sonnets, blank verse, free verse, villanelles, rondels, etc..--Fawcus unearths a treasure trove of what his poem "The Final Word" calls "my bank of words." This creates a rich, entertaining read. The sounds are music to my ears, and the imagery electrifies my imagination.
